To download and install new device software, do the following:
If updates over the air are supported by your network, use the Device Manager application in your device. Open Device updates
. You need to have a valid internet access point in your device.
Use the Nokia Software Updater PC application. You need to have a compatible PC with Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, or Vista operating system, broadband internet access, and a compatible data cable to connect your device to the PC.
The downloading of software updates may involve the transfer of large amounts of data. Contact your service provider for information about data transmission charges.
The size of a software update is approximately 5-10 MB using your device, and 100 MB using a PC.
The download and installation may take up to 20 minutes with Device Manager, and up to 30 minutes with Nokia Software Updater.

If you do not have a flat rate data plan that allows large data transfers for a monthly fee, use Device Manager with a wireless LAN (WLAN) internet access point or Nokia Software Updater.
