# the software i love

i love software that has been "liberated". as to say, free.

free as in libre, and also free as in 'commandeered'.
i honestly believe in the idea of software being used and 'freed' from its captors; copyright i mean. if you still don't get what i mean then what i'm trying to say is: piracy is fucking cool.

I have a habit of hoarding things, and i love having things i'm not "supposed" to have. i know it's risky and i will face retaliation for doing so. but by that point i'd rather stand my ground and protect my booty rather than give up anything. and i mean anything.

i will hoard information like a dragon, and i will give copies to everyone, so it will never be lost. i honestly believe that by doing this, nothing, and i mean NOTHING, will be forgotten on the internet.

the loss of data is the most catastrophic thing that could happen. and i would not let any entity, corporate or independent, moral or immoral, let them take my things away.

DRM-protected stuff, malware archives, pirated software released in private warez groups, leaked data the list goes on. i dont want all the cool stuff to be taken down because the rights holder got mad someone pirated it, or people taking things down from legal pressure and causing link rot. all of these will be preserved.

Piracy isn't just about getting things for free. It's about ensuring that when the rights holders decide history should be erased, someone has a copy they can't touch. They have lawyers, private investigators, and endless resources. I have redundant storage and a grudge against oblivion. do not repeat the Bhopal incident.


keep on pirating, and keep on archiving. and if they want to take it down, fight till your last breath to keep it up.
